One juicy birthday
So this week it was my birthday. I spent it with my best friend. We did our traditional dinner at the melting pot. Its always yummy and good. Another year passes in my life and its left me reflective and encouraged about what my future might hold. I have some surprises coming very soon for members, so stay tuned for that!
Today was beautiful in Florida, we had a little cold spell last week but it seems to be over. I got dressed for a walk to some local stores, I dragged my little dog Sugar with me. On our way back from our errands I chose to walk through a construction site because its much closer to home to walk that way… the road that is normally there is replaced by dirt and sand. I sneak through the site and I am certainly not allowed to do this but I just had to today. As I neared a ditch in the once road I realized it was going to be tough to get around and that it wasnt really suited for the flip flops and little white fluffy dog to pass through the guy in the ditch smiled at me. The man in the giant dirt heaving scooping truck called out be careful to me. I said “sorry I know I shouldnt be here”. He said let me smooth you a path for you. The men in the pit and myself watched as he dug dirt from another space with his giant scoop truck thing and dumped it over the corner of the ditch. He got another giant scoop of dirt and filled in the hole. Then he took the scoop thing and smoothed it out twice to make a neat little bridge for me and sugar to walk daintily through the path. I smiled and said thanks and walk past the guys. I thought it was one of the most gallant sweet gestures I’ve seen in a very long time. Who said fat girls are not treated like special beings was not at that construction site today.
